This was a wonderful surprise on a trip to Melbourne. We went here on a very hot day and it was cool and inviting. It looked quite small from the outside but opens up to a lovely space on the inside which is a renovated mechanics hall with a very high ceiling. It also has an outside courtyard. The food was really good a mixture of toasties and full meals, and the coffee great. They also served local wines.The young serving staff were all smiles. It appeared to attract a mix on locals and travellers. On the way back from Melbourne our cars occupants were unanimous that we had to return. Definitely a must to get off the highway for a nice breakfast or lunch.
Stopped for lunch on way from Mel to Syd. Great food, well prepared. Kids menu had yummy alternatives to the standard xxx & chips such as ham and cheese toastie and nachos, such a refreshing change! Friendly staff, clean facilities. Definitely the place to stop in Holbrook.
Stopped off on the way back- outstanding, fresh beautiful Caesar Salad while wife had excellent fish meal and top coffee. Healthy and refreshing. Worth diverting off highway just for the quality coffee. . . Soooo different to the mass produces bland food at the fast food places. Great to see these towns get quality food places as good as the good city facilities.
This place makes you want to move to the country! Simple food beautifully presented and welcoming friendly staff. Couldn't get a better experience in most cafes in the big cities. Congratulations to the owners and managers.
The team at The Ten Mile Holbrook were great. They made myself and my little dog welcome in the courtyard and made sure he had a bowl of water as it was a hot day. I ordered the burger with fries and a iced coffee and it was awesome. Definitely hit the spot. If you're in Holbrook this is the place to eat.
